Cabaret I'm back
A CABARET LATIN AMERICAN EN PORTUÑOL, PATAFÍSICO, ANTHROPOPHYG, DECOLONIAL, QUEER AND CONTEMPORÁNEO
As long as fascism advances on all sides, we are controlled by the structures of biopower, injustice perpetuates itself in political and social failures:
THERE WILL BE CABARET!
More than a hundred years ago, Zurich presented to the world a space that would change the history of Western art: The Cabaret Voltaire - place for the presentation and experiments of the Dadá movement. Celebrating 100 years of Cabaré Voltaire, in 2015 we created CABARÉ VOLTEI - our translated, anthropophagous, queer, pataphysical, Latin American and contemporary version. Unlike a show, Cabaré Voltei is a meeting place for cabaret artists from around the world, an open call for artists who research cabaret, Latin American magazine, contemporary Mexican cabaret, theater circus, multimedia cabaret, burlesque, opera bufa or any other format that variety shows have assumed throughout history.
The show is characterized by hybridism in a cabaret that appropriates the architectural and urban characteristics of each venue. A night with theatrical scenes, dance, music, performances, manifests and varied numbers. Cabaré Voltei is a festive space open to everyone's participation.
